"How Smart Marketers Are Using Video to Boost
their Income..."
In the
last issue of BizWeb eGazette
I talked about how video is changing the web. I also discussed
how you can cash in on this new trend by getting involved while
video is still relatively new to the web.
Today I want to show you specific
examples of some BizWeb eGazette subscribers who are already making money with video.
If you remember from last week, I explained that the best way
for small businesses to use Internet video were to inform,
pre-sell and grow an opt-in email list. Today's
clever examples show each technique in use.
These examples are real sites. They popped up last month
after I told some of my subscribers and customers about the
new project I've been working on. The project helps
affiliate marketers, and any merchant for that matter, use video
to generate income online.
Example #1: When a Good
Nanny Goes Bad

This sharp marketer is using this video-based site to perform
all three important functions.
First and foremost the video informs his target market
what can happen after they leave their kids with a so-called
trusted nanny or babysitter. He uses the video and the clickable text on
the right of his page to pre-sell his products.
And finally, the site grows his opt-in list for him as people
request more information via the form. Of course as they do,
they are redirected to his Nanny Cam site where he sells some
very cleverly disguised cameras. Brilliant -- what parent
wouldn't want one after watching that video!
Now let's move onto another example...
Example #2: ADHD Diagnosis? Better
watch this.

This video talks about attention deficit disorder, a commonly
diagnosed (and mis-diagnosed) condition among adolescents. The
creator of this site is an expert in this area and uses the site
to inform parents of the dangers of drugs to treat this
condition.
The site not only does a terrific job of educating, it also
pre-sells the site creators ebook and other material. As you can
see, the site is setup to spread the education virally, via Web
2.0 applications and sharing sites.
All in all, a very effective use of video!

Example #3:
Meet Dr. Emergen
Cee
This site talks about the importance
of having your emergency medical information with you at all
times, and offer a great free solution...
Again, this site not only does a
terrific job of educating, it also spreads the education
virally, via Web 2.0 applications and sharing sites.

This video-based site is one I spent
lots of time at myself. The subject is near and dear to my heart
-- golf! At the site you'll find lots of tips as well as product
reviews...
Can you find all the ways this golf
site earns income or the owner? If you guessed affiliate links,
adsense revenue and amazon.com links you still found less that
half of them!
Example #5:
House Sitting 101
This video-based site covers a topic
I'll bet you've never seen on video. The creator uses it to get
people to his house sitter directory...
House sitting is an up and coming
service that is easy to get into and can yield a nice part-time
income. I never knew there was such a need for this service
until I watched the video! What better way to get more people
into this profession than to show them how it works and
why it can be so lucrative.
Finally, let's
move onto one final example...
Example #6: Need A Laptop?
Here's a neat way to decide which
laptop to buy.
The creator of this site sent me the
following letter...
"I just wanted to let you guys know
how much fun I've had creating my laptop review site. I've been
doing IM and affiliate marketing for over 2 years now and this
has been the easiest most enjoyable (and profitable) site I've
ever been involved with. You guys are doing a fantastic job here
and I will be promoting this one as much as possible! Looking
forward to a long and prosperous future!"
In closing...

seen six great examples of effective video-based sites. If you
