How Much Is Your Time Worth.... More Than Five Bucks?

One of the things I enjoy most about making my living online is the time freedom. You know, work when you want, no alarm clock, all that stuff. But I still need to get work done -- sometimes a lot of work. I mean, this website marketing stuff can be really time consuming.

But I have a secret weapon. I pay others five bucks a pop to do the stuff I don't like to do, and the stuff that takes me too much time. Today I'll explain some of the tasks I've been outsourcing $5 at a time and how it's been working.

If you've been doing any sort of business online you're probably aware of fiverr.com - a place where people do things for a fin. Five bucks for all sorts of crazy, wacky, zany "gigs" as fiverr.com calls them.

But amongst the "sing and dance your message" and the "underwater photo service" gigs, there are literally thousands of practical, mega-useful gigs for online businesses. The secret is in knowing exactly what gigs to look for, and finding the right service providers/sellers.

Best Time Saving Fiverr Gigs For Online Businesses:

Over the last few months I've ordered about a dozen different gigs. A few of the gigs I ordered were largely responsible for me getting one of my new blogs to the first page of multiple search engines. The result: lots of passive traffic and income.

Of course SEO related gigs are just one of countless gigs you can use to grow your income. You just have to be careful when using fiverr for SEO and link building. There are lots of sellers who will spam your URL to thousands of sites for five bucks, but you don't want to go that route. As I shared in a previous Bizweb eGazette on SEO and backlink building, you want to pace yourself and use different link building strategies.

OK, so let's say you want to use Fiverr to help get your site ranked better in the search engines. Rather than buy gigs that promise you better ranking, a better strategy would be to write a great article that contains a link or two that points to your main site, then get the article onto multiple websites or blogs. This can reallly boost your ranking in any niche.

The problem is, lots of people have trouble writing articles. Fiverr to the rescue. There are tons of article writing gigs offering unique, 400 word articles completely written from scratch for five bucks. Once the article is complete, you can find then easily find a gig that will submit the article to multiple sites and blogs for you on a scheduled "trickle out" submission. This simply, 2-gig, ten dollar outsource strategy can help you grow the number of incoming links to your website and be a huge help in getting your site ranked better. And you can do it as often as necessary.

Another example of a mega-useful gig is press release writing and submission services. I hate writing press releases. I also hate joining multiple PR sites and submitting my release to them. But press release sites are a great way to jumpstart a new website or blog, by getting some initial traffic and those all-important links. So whenever I open a new blog I find a reliable Fiverr gig and have all the work done for me for five bucks. What a deal.

These are just a few examples of great ways to use fiverr.com -- there are literally thousands of others. I mean, logo design, header design, blog setup, fan page setup, video creation, voiceovers, squeeze page and autoresponder setup, and I could go on all day.

I urge you to use your imagination and think of all the things you know you should be doing in your online business but haven't had time to do. You can probably find someone who will do it for $5 by searching for a gig on Fiverr. But before you do, read the rest of today's gazette.

Next I'll go into the secret to finding those hidden gems on Fiverr -- the best, most useful, super-productive gigs, right after this quick time out...

Serious Income Requires Your Own Products

Here's the secret resource being used by many of the gurus you know...

(They won't admit it, but more than likely, they use this.)

Get Serious. Get Your Own Products.

The Secret To Finding Really Awesome Fiverr Gigs:

Once you know exactly what service you need done, head over to fiverr.com.

Step 1: Search Fiverr.com

Start by using the search bar at the right side of their site to find people offering the service you need. But the real secret is in what you enter into the search bar....

Let's say you've researched a particular article submission service and found it to be extremely helpful in building incoming links to a website. But the cost of the service is too high for your current budget, at say, $99 a month. And even if you wanted to become a member of that service, you're not sure you would have time to submit enough articles to get your money's worth.

Rather than entering "article submission" into the fiverr.com search bar, be VERY specific. Search for the name or abbreviated name of that specific article submission network and you'll likely find a seller who is a member. For five bucks a pop they'll submit your article to that network through their own paid account. You get all the benefits of membership to that article submission network but without paying the hefty recurring fee.

Step 2: Filter by Rating

Once you see a list of sellers offering the service you need, the next step is to sort them by rating. You do this by clicking the RATING link just above the listings. This is near the top of the page where it read "filter gigs by", and gives the options of Auto, Popularity, Rating, New, etc.

The reason you want to sort by rating is because you only want to work with proven sellers who deliver great results. While it's only five bucks you're spending, you're doing this to save time. Working with an unproven seller can result in wasted time and less than optimum results.

After clicking the filter by RATING link you'll see your search results reordered by customer satisfaction. Next, start clicking through each gig, paying attention to the number of happy face ratings versus frown ratings. Only order gigs from sellers with little to no negative reviews, and with at least 10 (preferably a LOT more) positive reviews.

Step 3: Spend $5 Give the Seller Great Info

Once you have a positively reviewed seller who offers exactly what you're looking for, click order. (You'll have to log in first or join for free if you're not already a member.) After paying the five bucks, you'll need to provide all the information the seller needs to perform the gig.

For example, if you are buying an article submission service make sure you provide the article which contains your correct URL, the exact keyword phrases that describe your site or blog, and any other important information the seller requests. Gig results are only as good as the information you provide the seller.

OK, that's it for today. I hope Fiverr.com is as helpful to you as it has been to me lately. Use it to free up some of your time. You can use the extra time to work on other things in your business. Or if you're like me, you can spend an extra day each week on the golf course. ;-)

See ya in a few weeks...
